Tom yum goong is one of Thailand’s most famous dishes. It is a dish that has comforted me during cold dark winter nights. It is also a warm, lovely dish that brought together many of my international friends who have never tried Thai food. In fact, one of my closest friends even encouraged me to apply for this cookbook because she loved my soup so much! Although my recipe is far from traditional, it was adapted to suit the student lifestyle by having a shorter preparation time and cheaper cost without compromising, the taste. I hope this recipe brings as much joy to others as it does to me.
I love cooking and eating with others as I can learn about the world’s different foods. I get to learn different techniques from different countries. Food truly brings people together, and I like how I made many friends through cooking with others.
